American Idol Audition Dates

Think you’ve got what it takes to be even bigger than current American Idol king David Cook?

Fox Network has announced the audition dates for the show's eighth seaon in 2009. The quest to be the next superstar kicks off July 17 at Cow Palace in San Francisco, Calif.

I’m quite the karaoke queen and I often have people telling me I should audition for Idol. Unfortunately, I’m just a little past the cut-off age! So my dear readers and fellow would-be Mariahs and Justins between the ages of 16-28, I expect you go out there and do me proud!

Tuesday, July 29 – EnergySolutions Arena, Salt Lake City, Utah

Friday, Aug. 8 – Sprint Center, Kansas City, Mo.

Wednesday, Aug. 13 – Veterans Memorial Arena, Jacksonville, Fla.

Tuesday, Aug. 19 – IZOD Center at the Meadowlands
