Alexis Cohen, the American Idol contestant known as "Glitter Girl," who was slain by a hit-and-run last week, was laid to rest today in a small private funeral, E! Online reports. The service was held in New Jersey this morning, and Alexis was laid to rest at Keneseth Israel Cemetery in South Whitehall. Donors came together to give both a burial plot and pay for the funeral, as her family couldn't afford it.

The man accused of hitting her with his car, Daniel Bark, was charged with vehicular homicide and other charges. He's currently on suicide watch in Ocean County Jail.
