'American Idol' Recap: Hollie Cavanagh is Eliminated & Jennifer Lopez & David Cook Perform
May 11 2012, Published 1:29 p.m. ET
After finding herself in the bottom of the pack more often than she could count, Hollie Cavanagh finally had to say goodbye last night on American Idol.
Ryan Seacrest, of course, dragged out the results like he always does. First, Joshua Ledet was safe, which was no surprise. Then powerhouse vocalist Jessica Sanchez was also safe. Which left us with Phillip Phillips and Hollie. Which one would go?
This didn't leave the audience was much suspense since Phillip has never been in the bottom, and he still was not in jeopardy as Hollie was declared the one leaving the show.
OK! NEWS: RIHANNA WILL PERFORM ON THE SEASON FINALE OF AMERICAN IDOL ON MAY 23
So we now have our final three of Jessica, Joshua and Phillip, and they now will have the great honor of going home and being treated to their very own hometown parade. This is one treat that all the contestants strive to get every season.

Last night's show also Jennifer Lopez singing "Dance Again" and while it was a fun song, we were so worried that she was going to pop out of that tight outfit she was wearing.
Season 7 winner David Cook also graced the stage with his new single "The Last Song I'll Write For You." We loved the song, and it was great seeing David back on the Idol stage. But David later revealed backstage that he is no longer with RCA and will be releasing this song on his own. That is such a bummer since David is so talented. Hopefully another label jumps on this great talent soon.
Next week, each contestant will sing three songs! Don't miss it on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
