American Idol is inching closer to the end of the season with the finale just three short weeks away. And the final five contestants are really getting serious. With Steven Van Zandt from Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band sitting in with Jimmy Iovine to mentor the singers on the songs this week, we were treated to some amazing performances. And Steven and Jimmy were so great together. Can they be the judges next season?
Onto the importat business. Each of the final 5 had to sing two songs again this week. One from the British music scene and one from the '60s. Let's see how they did.

Hollie Cavanagh kicked it off and she just rocked that stage. First, she took on "River Deep, Mountain High" and at first we were worried for Hollie. She went first and this was the song that got Pia Toscano kicked off the show last season. But with the brass band backing her up, Hollie's killer vocals were all they needed to and she killed it. This is one girl who just keeps crawling out of the bottom 3 and getting even better. She continued her momentum on her second song with "Bleeding Love." Loved seeing her sitting on the piano and just belting it out. Her voice is just incredible and we are so glad she is showing it off in the right way. If Hollie keeps it up, she could find a way into the finale.
Phillip Phillips was up next and continues to do what Phillip does on "The Letter," he changed it up from the Joe Cocker version, but just not enough, and too many weird faces. The same can be said for second song, "Time of the Season," but this one was just so much worse. There were so many notes in it that he just couldn't hit. We don't know what happened to Phillip, he was so good early on. We think the exhaustion is having a serious effect on him. He might finally hit the bottom 3 tonight.
Skylar Laine is just a joy to watch and that continues this week with "Fortunate Son." We just don't know where she gets that energy. She not only has the killer country voice, but her stage presecence is just amazing. And that continued right onto her second song with "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me." We kind of liked the first song better because it was more in Skylar's wheelhouse, but we also kind of love the emotion Skylar showed off on this one. Skylar is who we want in the finale.

OK! NEWS: COLTON DIXON HAD FRUSTRATING MOMENTS WITH AMERICAN IDOL JUDGES
Jessica Sanchez made a risky move taking on "Proud Mary." That one song is one that is a lot to live up to and takes a lot of dancing energy. Jessica did her best and she tried to show how she can dance while still showing off her amazing voice. But again she is just performing it without any emotional connection behind it. It just doesn't connect. Then she sang "You Are So Beautiful" and of course, it was technically brilliant. But that was all. It was just a snoozefest. Jessica should definitely hit the bottom 3 tonight and could be finally going home.
And then the amazing Joshua Ledet went last. His voice is just insane week after week. This week was no different. He kicked it off with an inspired version of "Ain't Too Proud To Beg." Between the dancers, Joshua's voice and the way he moved around the stage, you couldn't help but wanting to get up and dance too. Were we at a Joshua concert? It sure felt like it. Joshua then closed the show with "Too Love Somebody" and holy wow!! Of course, he got yet another standing ovation from the judges. He just blew it out of the park. That was just crazy good. Is there any way that Joshua won't win?
Who do you will will leave tonight? Our pick is Jessica. Find out tonight at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
