While we only have met five of the Top 24 contestants who will take the stage this season on American Idol, Nashville native Paul McDonald has certainly captivated American with his vocals and good looks. The scruffy 26-year-old crooner (and his perfect pearly whites) is no stranger to the music industry, as the singer/songwriter is the frontman for his band The Grand Magnolias.
"Signing the autographs yet?" Steven Tyler asked Paul before he and his fellow judged welcomed the aspiring artist to the Top 24 roster.
Paul debuted a Grand Magnolias song, "American Dreams" last night for his final solo in front of the judges.
He began touring the country in 2005 as part of the band Hightide Blues, and his most recent project, the album named after his band The Grand Magnolias, was released in November 2010.
Paul has even had the opportunity to perform with some big name musicians including the Zac Brown Band, Sara Bareilles and JJ Grey, the Top-40 Charts website reports.
