Angelina Jolie was honored with a special citizenship prize at the Sarajevo Film Festival for her directorial debut, In the Land of Blood and Honey.
The film, about a Serbian soldier and a Bosnian woman who have a romance during the Bosnian War.
Angelina, who wore her engagement ring from Brad Pitt at the event, was praised by government officials for drawing attention to the area. She flew to the Bosnia and Herzegovina capital this week to accept her award, saying, "The time I spent and the people I met in Bosnia have changed me forever. I can't tell you how much it means to me to be named an honorary citizen of Sarajevo, a city so dear to my heart."
