To say things went down to the wire on The Celebrity Apprentice would be an understatement! Last night on the live finale, only one contestant was destined to be crowned the winner. And that winner was none other than Arsenio Hall!

Here's the kicker: Even though Clay Aiken raised $301,500 -- more than double the amount Arsenio drummed up during their challenge — Donald Trump ultimately decided to hire Arsenio.

As a final challenge, Clay and Arsenio were tasked with creating a celebrity charity event with their formerly ousted teammates. Although each of them created quite a spectacle of variety shows and then made statements why they deserved to win, Donald declared that his ultimate decision wasn't based on the money raised, but rather on the events themselves and creativity involved.

So yes, Donald ultimately said the magic words to Arsenio: "You're hired!"
