It was a surprise to everyone when Ashlee Simpson stepped out on the red carpet of the Screen Actors Guild Awards last night with her Boardwalk Empire beau, Vincent Piazza. The normally low-key couple was all smiles as they shared the spotlight at the Shrine Auditorium and opened up about their "happy" life together.

"She is just a beautiful woman," Vincent gushed to E! Online's Marc Malkin about his lady love, who wore a stunning beaded Jenny Packham gown. "We're so happy. We've having a great time with each other."
And it seems all the Simpson ladies are basking in happiness these days! Ashlee and Vincent not only talked about their own relationship, but shared a little news about Jessica Simpson's love life as well!
"She's amazing," Ashlee told E!'s Giuliana Rancic of her older sister, who's expecting her first child with fiancé Eric Johnson later this year.

"She's looking good and feeling good," added Ashlee, who's a mommy herself to 3-year-old son Bronx with ex-husband Pete Wentz. "She's completely content, so happy. It's fun to be around her. It's like 'Yeah, I want some of that!'"
We're thrilled that Ashlee and Jess are enjoying the special moments in their lives — great news all around for the family!
