As Ashton Kutcher convened with his Two and a Half Men costars to meet the press in Pasadena, Calif., the actor revealed his thoughts on heading back to TV, Twitter and, oh yes, his ever-changing hair.

"You know, I've had a blast," he told reporters. "Since I stopped doing That '70s Show, I always wanted to go back and do television."  OK! NEWS: DEMI MOORE FEARS BEING UNLOVABLE AFTER SPLIT FROM ASHTON KUTCHER Actually, Ashton credits funnyman Robin Williams for inspiring him to return to the small screen, saying: "Robin visited the set at one point and told Kurtwood Smith, 'Man, I just wish I could go back and do a sitcom again.' And I never forgot hearing that. And when I had this opportunity, I was like, 'this is unbelievable.' " Unbelievable indeed! So are his nine million Twitter followers. "I can see that my fans are supportive of the show," he said. "In general, my feedback has been really, like, really positive. And I think part of listening to the audience in that way, in a slightly more personal way, I think has helped us, or helped me at least, in kind of guiding the character into what the audience is interested in watching." While no mention of Demi Moore came up or the Twitter snafu when he Tweeted about the firing of Penn State's football coach, Joe Paterno, he doesn't bring his personal view of love and relationships into his new character. "Walden Schmidt reflects the views of the writers, and then I play the character," he explained. OK! NEWS: DEMI MOORE DIVORCES ASHTON KUTCHER — "THERE ARE CERTAIN VOWS THAT I HOLD SACRED" Business aside, what is up with his hair? When he's not working on something it sounds like he lets it grow. "I tend to just kind of let it be a growing field because you never know what you're going to play, and I'd prefer not to wear a wig or any prosthetics or any fake whatever. So I think when we first met I was starting to get a little shaggy." As for his fans reactions, sounds like he'll never be able to please his tribe. "I'm sure there will be people now that I've cut my hair and shaved my beard, they want me to have long hair and a beard. And then there were people that when I had a beard and long hair, wanted me to be shaved and have a haircut. How it evolved is these guys wrote a screenplay that dictated I cut my hair and shave my beard at some point." So, it is what it is.  Reporting by Gena Oppenheim
