Avril Lavigne is set to debut her latest single and reveals that she is more than excited to get back in the game with a new album on the way.
"I'm anxious to get out there again. There will be a world tour promoting the new album and single in the new year." Avril told PopEater of her most recent project, Goodbye Lullaby.

But first, the 26-year-old plans to hit the stage at Dick Clark’s annual New Year’s Rockin’ Eve in NYC to sing her record, “What the Hell.”
The song is, “a really fun, upbeat party song, so it worked out really well to play it for the first time on New Year's Rockin' Eve.”

Avril, who recently went through a divorce to Sum 41’s Derek Whibley, says that her new CD will be personal.

"The rest of the album is more stripped down, deeper. All the songs are very emotional. The other albums I've done, the songs are all over the place. This is the most consistent album all the way through."
Goodbye Lullaby is set to be released on Mar. 8 of 2011.
Avril is currently dating former Hills star Brody Jenner.
