Avril Lavigne Signs Designer Deal

She’s a rocker with a girly edge, and now she’s a fashion designer, too! “Complicated” singer Avril Lavigne is following in fellow blonde-tressed musician Gwen Stefani's footsteps and has signed on with Kohl’s to launch a clothing line for teens.

The line, dubbed Abbey Dawn, will reflect Lavigne’s signature punked-up glam style, and will include both clothing and jewelry. An Avril-ized Abbey Dawn will be available in Kohl’s stores beginning in July, and most items will retail for under $50.

Lavigne is hardly the first female star to pursue fashion; in addition to Stefani, Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Lopez also have clothing lines.
