Feb. 17 2010, Published 1:50 p.m. ET
If fans of The Bachelor are wondering why Jake Pavelka is so well-behaved with his bevy of bachelorettes, he is now revealing the real reason why — he doesn't believe in sex before a rose ceremony.
In Monday's episode of The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love, Jake had Fantasy Suite dates with Vienna Girardi, Tenley Molzahn and Gia Allemand, who was sent home. But Jake made sure that nothing untoward took place.

"In the Fantasy Suite, you can sleep with one girl, or three girls … whatever as a couple you decide to do, but tomorrow there is a Rose Ceremony coming up," Jake tells Entertainment Tonight.
"What are you going to do when you have to look somebody in the eye and the night before you made love to them and you are sending them home? I didn't know who was going to go home, so I wasn't willing to rip that away from her.

"Minimizing regret. I don't know what I would say looking her in the eyes and putting her in the limo. It could have been Vienna, Tenley or Gia. It just happened to be Gia. I am so glad I didn't have to have that conversation."
Jake also shows what a softie he is by admitting that he had real feelings for more than one woman.

"The world tells you that the human heart can be in love. My definition of in love means I will die to make you happy. I will lay my life down for yours. You are more important to me," he says.
"I felt that way for more than one girl at the same time and it is so confusing. I didn't believe we are engineered to do that and I was so wrong," he says.

Jake had to whittle to competition down to one woman because, "it is not Big Love," he jokes.
Meanwhile, he defends the resident villain Vienna despite the number of women who've come to him warning him off her. "I would sit there and listen and ask, 'What is it exactly?' They would say, 'Nothing. We just don't like her.' 'What has she done to you?' 'It is just her attitude.' Nobody has been able to tell me what she has done wrong."
