Bachelorette Recap — Ali Travels to Four Hometowns; Kirk Sent Home
July 13 2010, Published 4:13 a.m. ET
The seventh episode begins with Ali Fedotowsky traveling to each of the remaining four guy’s hometowns.
Ali’s first stop was Tampa, Florida where she visits Roberto. Ali, dressed in shorts and active wear, took to the baseball field with Roberto by her side. The baseball hunk was also dressed in a jersey and tight white pants.
Ali admitted, “a baseball uniform is the sexiest thing a guy could put on.”
After playing ball the two returned to Roberto’s home. Roberto's main concern is whether or not his father will accept Ali into his family.
Roberto tells his mother, “if I have a chance to propose I probably will." He then gets the blessing from his entire family to ask for Ali’s hand in marriage.
On her next date, Ali travels to Cape Cod, Mass. to visit Chris L’s family. No longer alive, the spirit of Chris’s mother lives on through various pictures and decorations around Chris's charming home.
Ali is able to learn more about Chris after speaking to his father, Ed. Ed, who has learned many life lessons after his wife’s passing revealed “life is short lived” and when an individual has love nothing else matters.
Kirk disclosed in past episodes that he had troubles “committing because of his parents' divorce.” Ali is anxious to see Kirk’s family situation.
Once arriving to Green Bay, Wis., Kirk’s father, Pete immediately asks Ali if she wants to see his basement. Pete brings her into his workshop with total animal decor — mounted animal heads and carcases cover the walls and various body parts are kept in the freezer.
Ali, in complete shock, responds, “I love animals but I love when they are alive!”

Ali and Pete sit down to talk about Kirk’s love life. Kirk’s father reveals his son has not brought many girls home. Ali is concerned with Kirk’s lack of dating experience.
After meeting Kirk’s father Ali travels to his mother house. Kirk’s mother opens up to Ali about his painful past and how he overcame his sickness.
Frank greets Ali in Chicago where he takes her on a Romantic boat ride. He questions whether he is the one for her. Ali reassures Frank that her feelings for him are genuine.
Ali immediately feels welcomed by Frank’s family. Frank continues to question where he stands with Ali. While Ali admits she could spend all day in Chicago with Frank’s family, she is concerned whether or not he is ready to truly commit.
Ali returns to L.A. to meet with host Chris Harrison. While reflecting on her dates she fears of having to break one of the guy’s hearts.
Ali reveals she feels stronger for the remaining guys than she did the previous season with Bachelor Jake Pavelka. She then begins to tear up thinking about having to let go of someone she has been falling for.
At the rose ceremony, Ali makes it clear that her decision “has nothing to do with families.”
In the end Kirk was the one that did not receive the rose. She reassured Kirk that although she “thinks the world” of him she did not feel as though he was "the one."
Returning to the remaining guys, Ali toasts to their next exotic — and very romantic — vacation spot: Tahiti!
