Backstage at Betsey

Sorry, I’m running about a bit behind here, but…

After ending my unplanned experiment in sleep deprivation with a solid

eight hours of sleep I went to meet and her husband backstage at the Betsey Johnson show. Polling the OK! staff

for questions for the girl I think of as Donna Martin I was shocked to

learn how many people never watched Beverly Hills 90210! Am I dating

myself? I guess I will be the girl who in five years admits I never saw

an episode of “The Hills,” but 90210 is a classic!

Anyway…Tori arrived shortly after I did and we talked a lot about how

she lost her baby weight on NutriSystem, which you can read all about

in next week’s issue of OK!, but as I watched MODELS EAT the

NutriSystem spread backstage before the show I also spoke to Tori and

Dean about their new business venture/TV show “Tori & Dean: Inn

Love.”

Tori said, “The best part about it is that I get to work with my

husband and be at home with my baby 24 hours a day. We’re always

together so there’s not a better job that I could have.”

Dean said, “Our goal is to franchise. We’d love to have them all over

the world, Chateau La Rue’s everywhere!” And for the next one he said,

“I would love one in Scotland. I love Scotland, my heart belongs to

Scotland, I left my heart in Scotland, like the Tony Bennett song.”

Although he admitted, “Having a bed and breakfast is like having

another child. It’s nine to five, two, four and seven. It takes a lot

of love and a lot of care and discipline. That’s what’s the hardest,

just the hours that you have to put into it. And the property is so

beautiful you just want to hang out and enjoy it but you’ve gotta work

because you have guests to take care of.”
