Lisa Loeb has a glasses line hitting stores in March 2009. Why would we want to be like the Stay singer, who took to reality TV for #1 Single in 2006 and appeared with Leighton Meester on Gossip Girl earlier this year? She explains.
She’s fresh-faced at 40.
I think genetics is very helpful, and I also take care of my skin. I wear sunscreen, try to get as much sleep as I can, and I stay happy.
She gives her diet and exercise secrets – so you can be, too.
Yes. I exercise very regularly. I walk and jog five or six days a week, and do strength training at least twice a week, plus other additional things here and there. I prioritize sleep over exercise, and I eat pretty well-balanced diet. Mostly vegetables, fish, whole milk products, whole grain products, and then I eat what I like. But usually leaning towards healthier choices. If I really feel like a doughnut, I eat a doughnut.

She keeps it cool with her exes, and believes in being friends.
I think it’s ok to be friends. One of my best friends is one of my exes. We know each other really well, and we went through a lot of important periods of our life together. Just like any other friend, we have a lot in common and have a lot of shared experiences. It’s been important for us to stay friends.
She gave back with a songwriting workshop with fourth grade girls in Brooklyn.
It was really rewarding. It was really great to hear their ideas and understand even better. As a songwriter, it was really important to hear how important values and themes can be expressed in song, which is something you forget about when you’re writing as an adult.
