Oprah's coming! The talk show titan makes her debut on 30 Rock next month!
Sitting on a plane next to Liz Lemon (Tina Fey), The Girlie Show creator begs Oprah for life advice. (Trust me, I’d be doing the same darn thing!)
At a Tupperware Tea Party, hosted by Brooke Shields to support the Chain of Confidence campaign (read more about it in the new issue of OK!, on sale Thursday), I caught up with 30 Rock star Jane Krakowski, who told me what it was like to be on set with Oprah.
“Oprah’s coming to our show, it’s crazy,” she gushed. “I actually saw her on the day she was filming, but I didn’t get to do any scenes with her. Because only Tina worked with her.”
Sounds a little selfish, no?
“Oh, it’s all entwined in the show, when you see it, you’ll understand,” Jane promised.
Jane revealed that in one of the takes, Tina’s character tells her staff that Oprah’s coming because of The Girlie Show. “She literally goes, ‘Oprah’s coming,’ then looks into the camera and she says to America says, ‘Oprah’s coming,’ and that’s actually the take we used,” Jane shared. “I love that we can sometimes break the fourth wall and talk right to the camera. It’s so cool.”
