
Ben Affleck Gets Political For Congo

Ben Affleck and Cindy McCain, wife of US Senator John McCain, arrived in Washington, DC yesterday to testify on Congo before the House Africa, Global Health & Human Rights Subcommittee on Capitol Hill. Aside from his serious acting skills, Ben also founded Eastern Congo Initiative to help the people of Congo.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Ben said, "If we continue to place Congo on the back burner of U.S. policy, it will come back to haunt us." He also went on to say "The last time Congo collapsed, armies came in from across Africa and five million people died… We must learn from history."

Aside from his various acting roles and now political endeavors, Ben is still daddy to his and wife Jennifer Garner's two adorable daughters, Violet and Seraphina Affleck.
