The Bethenny Ever After star is the next reality mogul to write "fiction" where the main character's life is awfully reminiscent of her own. Bethenny's tome, Skinnydipping (in the same vein as Lauren's Sweet Little Lies), follows the life of Faith, a "motivated, talented reality TV star."
Bethenny appeared on The Today Show and told Ann Curry the book is a "palette cleanser" after eight years of reality TV and non-fiction books.
She says she "loved it more than any other project" which is a tall order considering she's done everything from acting to ice skating to cooking.
"We do have a lot in common," Bethenny said of Skinnydipping's Faith. "The occurrences in my life definitely do affect everything I do creatively... I like to make people realize they’re not alone in what they’re going through, whether it’s their marriage, the sex in their marriage, having a baby or feeling overwhelmed, that’s what I’m feeling!”

Even though it might appear as if Bethenny tries to do everything right on the surface, she urges her fans to embrace their flaws.
"I think it is my message to say, 'Yeah, we're not perfect. We're flawed. I'm flawed but I'm having fun.... We have some not-so-good moments, but all in all, you can really get to where you want to get to. And we'll do it together.'"
Bethenny's new talk show is set to premiere this summer.
