This is just the latest development in Betty's seven-decade career, which includes famous turns as Sue Ann Nivens on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rose Nylund on The Golden Girls. The 90-year-old living legend currently has two shows on the air, TVLand's Hot in Cleveland and NBC's Betty White's Off Their Rockers. The latter show airs tonight at 8 p.m., the same time as American Idol, and Betty let Ryan Seacrest know that she's aware of the competition.
"Hey @RyanSeacrest - my new show airs tomorrow and I hear we're in the same time slot. I've always dreamed of sharing a night with you..." she Tweeted yesterday.
OMG! We love that Betty White has a Twitter! And so do a lot of other people, apparently. Betty's garnered over 141,000 followers since joining the social networking site yesterday, and we expect that number will continue to rise!
