The AP is reporting that Paramount Pictures has given the 'ok' to make a fourth installment of the '80s hit franchise Beverly Hills Cop, with Eddie Murphy reviving the role that made him a bonefied movie star.
Brett Ratner is in talks to direct the film, which is expected to begin filming next year for a summer 2010 release.
Murphy,47, reportedly approached the studio about reviving the film series in which he plays a Detroit police detective who ends up chasing criminals in Beverly Hills.
