Considering Kate Middleton and Prince William are modern day royalty, it's no surprise they've apparently asked Beyoncé and Jay-Z to perform at their wedding reception on Friday!

The Daily Star reports (via PopEater) that a source close to the couple revealed, "Both William and Kate are massive fans of Beyoncé and Jay-Z. They really wanted to make their big day even more special and what better way than by getting pop royalty to perform at the party?"

The source added, "Will and Kate will have an official reception for hundreds of dignitaries before throwing a less formal bash for loved-ones. They both wanted to ditch traditions and make it more personal for them."

Apparently, it looks like the A-list couple may indeed perform and it makes perfect travel sense: Beyoncé is currently in Europe to promote her new single, "Girls Who Run the World" and Jay-Z is with her. The source confirmed the performance as "highly likely" and added, "After all, who would turn down a once-in-a- lifetime gig like that?" Meanwhile, the palace hasn't confirmed or denied whether or not the entertainers have already accepted the invitation to perform.
