There's a new Queen B in town!
Anna Wintour's Vogue September issue brings the crème de la crème of the entertainment industry to the cover, year after year. Usually, the biggest celebrity of the moment appears on the special issue and shares a groundbreaking secret about his/her glamorous life. This year, the chosen star was Beyoncé, but a source exclusively told Straight Shuter's "Naughty Or Nice" podcast that the "Lemonade" singer was actually the magazine's second pick!
"Beyoncé was not the first choice—it was Meghan Markle!" said the insider.
"Bey had no idea that she was the second choice for the issue," the source said, adding that everyone at Conde Nast began gossiping as soon as the new Duchess of Sussex "passed."

Radar readers know Meghan, 37, has yet to do an interview as a royal. The last time she spoke to reporters was when she got engaged to Prince Harry and discussed what her career and life would look like from then on.
She also has yet to pose for a solo photo shoot.
Fans know Meghan grew up in California and was interested in the entertainment industry from a very young age. Some of her friends even told Straight Shuter that as a teen, the star loved fashion and beauty, and would've killed to be featured in American Vogue before she married Harry, 33.

Does royal etiquette prohibit her from doing interviews and shoots with the prestigious publication?
Straight Shuter said in his podcast that Vanity Fair and Cosmopolitan have also offered Meghan covers, though she likely wouldn't take the latter as their topics are far too sexual for a member of the royal family.
While the former Suits actress grew up with American Vogue, her royal mentor, Kate Middleton did her first royal interview and shoot with British Vogue after marrying Prince William.
So, will Meghan Markle follow in her footsteps?
