Although Billy Joel's memoirs were scheduled to be released this summer, his fans will have to wait a while before they get to read them. Actually, they'll be waiting indefinitely because he nixed the idea and pulled the plug on his book after writing it!

The Book of Joel has officially been canceled. The Piano Man explains the reason behind it to the Associated Press (via PopEater): "It took working on writing a book to make me realize that I'm not all that interested in talking about the past." He adds, "The best expression of my life and its ups and downs has been and remains my music."
