Just weeks after Whitney Houston's tragic death, her troubled daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, has agreed to marry Nick Gordon, a longtime friend who's known as her "adopted brother."

But the 19-year-old's relatives believe making him her husband would be a big mistake. "Nick proposed to Krissy on March 10, and she said yes," a family friend tells Star. "Krissy said Nick is the only person she trusts in the world. They have a very deep connection."
Indeed, Bobbi Kristina and Nick, 22, who live together in Whitney's 1.2 million Atlanta townhouse, refer to each other as "brother" and "sister," says the source. Although Nick was never formally adopted by the singer, she took him in several years ago after his father went to prison and his mother was unable to look after him.

"Nick took care of Whitney and Kristina," his grandmother, Maxine Gordon, tells Star. "He's always been extremely protective of Kristina."
