While Bobby Brown may have had a few issues trying to attend ex-wife Whitney Houston’s funeral service in Newark on Saturday with a big group of friends in tow, he still managed to pay his respects to the “I Will Always Love You” singer at his New Edition concert that evening.

According to E! Online, Bobby and his group mates performed at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut last night and sang “Hit Me Off” as a tribute to his late wife and mother to his daughter Bobbi Kristina.

Before leaving the stage Bobby said a few words for Whitney, since he was unable to speak at her funeral in New Jersey earlier in the day.

"Blessings to my ex-wife, Whitney Houston. I love you,” Bobby said to the crowd.
Whitney was found dead in her Beverly Hilton Hotel room last Saturday at the age of 48 right before she was set to attend the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Party.
