Brad Pitt, fat? Sorry, we can't imagine it! But in a shocking new interview, Brad admits that he was headed down a pretty terrible path, which would have ended in him being a lesser version of himself.
The Moneyball star, who was nominated yesterday for an Academy Award for Best Actor, opens up about his depression and addiction to marijuana in the 1990s and how it impacted his life and career.
"I got really sick of myself at the end of the 1990s," Brad tells the new issue of The Hollywood Reporter. "I was hiding out from the celebrity thing. I was smoking way too much dope. I was sitting on the couch and just turning into a doughnut, and I got really irritated with myself."
The actor has now changed his ways and is living a happy family life with his partner of almost seven years, Angelina Jolie, and their six kids, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivenne.

Earlier this year, Brad confessed a little more about his past struggles with drug use and how his marriage to Jennifer Aniston played a role in his issues.

“I spent the '90s trying to hide out, trying to duck the full celebrity cacophony. I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic," Brad told Parade in September. "It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself. I think that my marriage to Jennifer had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t."
Although that interview got him into a little bit of trouble — he apologized for pretty much calling Jennifer "dull" — we respect Brad for opening up about his past and his plans for the future.
