Brad Pitt rolled in solo to a photo call for his new flick, Killing Them Softly, in Cannes, France today, but that didn't stop reporters from inquiring about the absence of his famous other half, Angelina Jolie.

"She's prepping for a movie," he told reporters, which is most likely Maleficent, a remake of Sleeping Beauty where she plays the evil antagonist.
Not missing a beat, reporters were also curious if Brad and Angie had set a wedding date after announcing to the world their engagement in April. Unfortunately, Brad didn't give them much meat in terms of when they plan on walking down the aisle... or at least visiting a courthouse.
"We truly have no date. We actually, really, truly have no date," he said. "We're still hoping we figure out marriage equality in the States before that date, but getting engaged was something that made sense."

In Killing Them Softly, Brad plays a hitman in the midst of a country-wide financial collapse. While critics have deduced the plot was born from discontent surrounding our current crop of politicians and their inability to fix the economy, Brad told reporters this wasn't necessarily the case for him personally as he "leans more toward the left" politically.
"We are playing people with very specific opinions," he said. "We are clearly living in our country at a time of great divide and so I'm interested in those other arguments that are ... certainly not mine."
