Breaking: Britney Spears Leaves Hospital

Jan. 5 2008, Published 7:16 a.m. ET
After being rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Thursday night following a four-hour standoff with the LAPD, Britney Spears has left the hospital after only two nights of close medical observation.
OK! can confirm that the pop princess was escorted out of Cedars-Sinai through an underground tunnel by four police cars at 7 a.m. PT Saturday morning, and she is staying at her home in the gated community called The Summit.
TV's Entertainment Tonight and The Insider were first to report that the mother of two left Saturday morning via an underground tunnel. A source told the television shows that there was no reason to keep her hospitalized despite reports she would stay for 72 hours.
Before she was released, Britney had an unexpected visitor. Dr. Phil was seen visiting the out of control singer and her father Jamie. The hard-nosed TV head shrinker then reportedly walked Britney to her car.
