BREAKING NEWS: WHOOPI GOLDBERG NAMED NEW VIEW CO-HOST

Whoopi Goldberg has joined The View, she announced on the talk show this morning. Barbara Walters and Whoopi made the announcement on Monday's episode, confirming weeks of rumors and suspicions that the comedian will take over one of the vacated two spots on the panel, left by Rosie O'Donnell and Star Jones Reynolds.Whoopi said she's most looking forward to chiming in on the heated hot topic discussions, but is not too crazy about trying to get a word in edge-wise. I'm looking forward to the hot topics. The thing I'm looking forward to the least is getting in between everyone talking at one time.Asked about the plethora of celebrity feuds, the actress said, I just don't understand them. People have been writing things about me for years and they'll keep writing about me. One thing Whoopi said she's dreading on the show, though, are boring guests.
