Bret Michaels' Heart Surgery is a Success

Although Valentine's Day and the month for Heart Health are right around the corner, there's one heart that won't be achy breaky any more. Rocker Bret Michaels underwent a successful surgery yesterday which closed a hole in his heart.

A representative for St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix Arizona talked to the Associated Press and indicated that Bret is recuperating. Right now he's in the intensive care unit for observation.

Last April his doctors discovered the hole when he was treated for a brain hemorrhage. Bret, the winner of last year's season of The Celebrity Apprentice, now has a permanent closure device in his heart which will stop abnormal blood flow between the two chambers.
