After Perfect Age of Rock ‘n’ Roll star Taryn Manning appeared in 2002’s Crossroads with Britney Spears, she kept up with the pop star, who is now a mom of two.

“I talk to her every now and again,” the actress, 32, tells me. “She’s doing really well. She’s come a really long way. She’s overcome a lot of adversity, and I’m very proud of her, and so is her family and her management. They stood by her, and now look at her record – it’s huge!”

Despite their friendship, Taryn hasn’t yet seen her on the impressive Femme Fatale tour.

“I talked to her right before she left for tour, because I was with her and her manager. Just brief. It’s not anything too deep, just ‘hello, and how are you?’ She’s always with the kids. She’s a very good mother, and she’s all about her children. She’s an amazing mom.”

In addition, Taryn’s gotten to know Britney’s beau, Jason Trawick, whom the pop star gave special treatment during her performance of Lace and Leather at her Nassau Coliseum concert this week.

“He’s awesome,” Taryn says. “He’s an amazing agent, and he loves her and he loves her children so much. They’re actually a very, very nice family. They make a really nice, complete family.”
