Britney Spears is looking better than ever and it’s all thanks to a sweet little secret, an insider told OKMagazine.com exclusively.

The trim-and-toned pop star has being using lollipops to lose weight but it’s not what you think! The sweet pops are actually appetite suppressants that she heard about from one of her backup dancers, the source told OK!

“Whenever she gets hungry, she’ll suck on Power-Pops – a lollipop that increases energy, metabolism and weight loss,” the insider said. “She says they really do work and stop her from feeling hungry – she gets to eat candy and lose weight!”

The insider said thanks to the lollipops, and her workout routine, the newly-single gal “lost shedloads of weight and is back down to her ‘Slave 4U’ size!”

Britney, who is a self-confessed junk food lover, must love the lollipops, which come in nearly 20 flavors, including Chocolate Mousse and Butter Pecan.

“She has one with water whenever she gets hungry in between meals or needs an energy boost, and also half an hour before every meal,” the source added.

These lollipops, however, are not the same type of candy that landed Brit in headlines years ago. In 2007, the National ENQUIRER reported a source claims Spears was sucking on marijuana-laced lollipops on the regular. Brit reportedly carried the “pops” in her purse and would say she’s “craving candy,” the source said.

Power-Pops, however, are completely different. The 28-calorie pops contain a bit of sugar along with weight loss supplements and vitamins like Hoodie, Citrimax, L-Tyrosine, Guarana and Vitamin B6 and B12.
