Britney Spears' new Femme Fatale album has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart!

In just its first week, Femme Fatale has sold 276,000 copies, PopEater reports.
Britney has this down to a science. Femme Fatale is her sixth No. 1 album. She is now tied in third place with Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson for the most No. 1 albums by a female artist.

Even though Femme Fatale sold 276,000 copies the first week and is number one, Britney's previous albums sold more. Circus, in 2008, sold 506,000 copies the first week and ultimately 1.7 million in the U.S. overall.
