Britney Spears was so exited for fans to hear her latest single "Hold It Against Me" that she allowed her camp to release the upbeat track on Monday. So far, the pop princess is receiving very positive feedback for the first single off her upcoming seventh album. It should come as no surprise that the song is already No. 1 on iTunes and a radio favorite!
The dance track is contagious, set to a pulsating beat.
"If I said my heart was beating loud/If we could escape the crowd somehow/If I said I want your body now/Would you hold it against me?” Britney sings in the chorus in her true fashion.
"Hold It Against Me" hit iTunes late Monday night, and since its release it has been No. 1 in countries like the U.S., Italy, France, Greece, Mexico, Norway, Spain and Sweden, among others.
The single also hit big on the radio, earning 700 spins to gain the title of biggest radio debut, CNS reports (via All Headline News). "Hold It Against Me" beat out recent first single debuts like Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” and Rihanna’s “Only Girl (In the World)." It’s also one of the biggest radio days for any song, period.
