Britney Spears "Tells It Like It Is" as an 'X Factor' Judge

When Britney Spears was hired as an X Factor judge last month, everyone from Howard Stern to Britney's own handlers wondered how the temperamental and sensitive pop star would handle the stress of her new gig.

The answer: Pretty well.

While the first few audition cities haven't been without bumps — Britney, Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid famously walked out this weekend when a hopeful sang with his back to them — it appears Britney is fitting in just fine with her new lifestyle.

L.A. said Britney has "great taste" while UK judge Louis Walsh (who stood in for Simon Cowell when he was sick) said the often giggly and polite performer, "tells it like it is."

While we haven't been privy to the audition tapes, from what little we've heard it seems many of the contestants are pretty dreadful. Like, first round of American Idol auditions dreadful.

Louis described them as "awful" while Britney diplomatically said "potential — but not quite X-Factor."

L.A. was the most wordy, telling RadarOnline.com, “It’s been a little suspect" but that he looks forward to more auditions.

So does this mean Britney's the mean one and Demi's the sweet, Paula Abdul-like judge?
