Brittany Murphy's Family Releases Statement

Following the horrible news of the untimely passing of actress Brittany Murphy at the age of 32, her family has released a statement to OK!.

"In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support," reads the statement released to OK! through Brittany's rep. "It is their wish that you respect their privacy."

Making the news of Brittany's death even more tragic are reports that it was her who discovered the actress unconscious in the shower this morning before calling 911 for help.
