Brooke Burke: I Don't Fear Injuries
Oct. 20 2008, Published 11:54 a.m. ET
It's been a dangerous season so far for competitors on Dancing With the Stars. Olympic beach volleyball star Misty May-Treanor found herself out of the competition after rupturing her Achilles tendon, comedian banged up his eye during rehearsal, Derek Hough blacked out and now front-runner Brooke Burke is hoofing with an injured foot.
According to reports, Brooke was taken to the hospital for X-rays earlier today after hurting her foot during rehearsing a flip with pro partner Derek over the weekend. Luckily for her, it was only a bad bruise and Brooke will be back on the dance floor this week.

When OK! recently spoke to Brooke about the dangers of appearing on DWTS, she said she had no fear of being injured. "I don’t really. I think it can happen to anybody," she explained. "You can only be so careful but I don’t put that out there. It’s really the last thing on my mind. It can happen at any time. We’re pushing our bodies to the limit. There’s just no preparation."
Tune in tonight to Dancing With the Stars to see how Brooke holds up with her bruised foot.
