Have the rigors of the road taken their toll on Bruce Springsteen? New Jersey's favorite son greeted a Detroit audience Friday with a hearty, "Hello, Ohio!"
Bruce called the Michigan audience "Ohio" repeatedly until E Street Band member, Steven Van Zandt, stepped in to save him, whispering in his ear.
"That is every front man's nightmare!" Bruce confessed.
Steven reveals how he corrected The Boss: "I just grabbed him and said, 'You don't realize it, but you're saying Ohio and we're in Michigan.'

"He said 'What?!?' In his mind he knew he was in Detroit, but somehow Detroit wound up in Ohio for a minute."
Bruce, 60, still managed to rock the Palace of Auburn Hills for a three-hour set.
