Cameron Mathison Does Double Duty
Oct. 16 2007, Published 12:00 p.m. ET
I’m pretty convinced that soap stud/Dancing With the Stars competitor/reality show host Cameron Mathison is the hardest-working man in the biz (with Jimmy Kimmel and his crazy, daily bicoastal sked this week to co-host Live! With Regis and Kelly and his own show rounding up a close second). Tonight, after Cameron (hopefully!) survives another elimination round on Dancing With the Stars the Results Show (airing at 9 p.m. on ABC), the All My Children star will hitch a ride with a police escort to Hollywood and Highland for the live finale broadcast of I Wanna Be a Soap Star. There, he'll reveal which contestant, Ashlee or Jimena, has won the reality competition series and earned a 13-week contract role on Days of Our Lives. I caught up with I Wanna Be a Soap Star judge Michael Bruno, who gave his take on which woman will come out victorious. “In the beginning, I was sparked more by Ashlee, her look seems so right for daytime,” he reveals. “But then I completely fell in love with Jimena — she’d be a perfect DiMera.” I Wanna Be a Soap Star reaches another milestone tonight as it crowns its first female winner. “It’s time,” Michael declares. “Either way, I’m so happy for both of them.”
