It looks like Carly Rae Jepsen's hit, "Call Me Maybe," is here to stay!
At the start of the summer, it made a splash onto the Billboard Hot 100 list but lo and behold, nine weeks later it's still holding strong.

What this means exactly is that she's held the top position longer than any other song in 2012! According to Billboard, she even beat out Gotye, the Belgian-Australian singer whose hit, "Somebody That I Used to Know," stayed eight weeks in the numero uno spot.

Ironically, Justin Bieber — whose latest single, "As Long As You Love Me," is currently ranked No. 15 — helped catapult Carly Rae and her song to instant fame.
We can only wonder what her upcoming album, Kiss, has in store. The pop album will be released on Sept. 18.
