A simple day at the gym won’t satisfy or , who choose to put their own spin on burning calories.
“I have a girls group I dance with all the time, and when I do that, the rehearsals are like a workout,” Carmen tells me on the red carpet at Fashion Rocks.
But that’s not all. She confesses she’s started doing the Aerial Hoop.
“It’s a circus trick where you go up in the air and start a hoop. It’s a good workout because you have to use all your upper body strength to hold yourself while you work out. It’s fun.”

Hip hop violinist Miri says bikram yoga keeps her toned. According to Wikipedia, the workout is performed in a room heated to 105 degrees with a humidity of 40% and includes 26 postures and two breathing exercises.
“Sometimes I do it every day,” she tells me. “I do it for my body and my mind. It’s amazing.”
