January has turned out to be a big month for Carrie Ann Inaba. The Dancing With the Stars judge blew out 40 candles on Jan. 5 and celebrated the premiere of her new show Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann on Monday night.
So what more can she ask for?
“I would love to have a show like this and to have a child in one year," Carrie Ann tells OK! after the live Dance War debut at the PAMA sponsored event. "It would be too much to ask for. But it would be amazing. But, you know, you have to wait for God to bless you."
The former Fly Girl, who's "happy and very excited" about turning 40, has been dating dancer Artem Chigvintsev, 25, for two years, and he made sure to go all out for his lady's big birthday.
"He had an amazing dinner planned for us at the Peninsula Beverly Hills Hotel and it was the most fabulous setup," she says. " They set the table; we had a private room; we had the most amazing food and wine. It was just a really intimate evening with my dearest friend.”

Extending the festivities, Carrie Ann also threw a party on Jan. 7 at Les Deux in Hollywood to celebrate both her 40th milestone and the debut of Dance War, a seven-week reality series in search of the ultimate entertainer who can both dance and sing.
Fittingly, as she thinks about becoming a mother herself, Carrie Ann tells OK! she feels like a “mom” to the 14 young contestants whom she will help train on the show. “I’m so proud of these truly talented kids.”
