There were a lot of kind of couplings at DIRECTV’s 2nd Annul Celebrity Beach Bowl. A cast of characters including David Spade, Pete Wentz, Blake Lively and The Girl’s Next Door’s Kendra Wilkinson played tag football – but when not on the field, they were playing the field. Couples news includes:

-The host, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart, was seen flirting with Gossip Girl's star Blake Lively. It may be innocent, but an eyewitness tells OK! “There was definitely some kind of chemistry between them. They seemed to really be enjoying each other’s company (see photo taken by Seth Browarnik or Red Eye Productions).

-After the game Pete Wentz performed with his band Fall Out Boy. Before they went on stage Pete took off the jersey he wore during the game and Ashlee Simpson (his girlfriend), put it on. Someone commented that at least the post-football jersey wasn’t smelly because ‘he just walked up and down the field.'

-Geoff Stultz and Stacey Kiebler, somebody referred to them as husband and wife. They’ve been together so long (in Hollywood years) and cute, I guess people forget they’re not (yet) married.

PS: What is it about David Spade? He's dated hot Hollywood women from Heather Locklear to Lara Flynn Boyle and was definitely the crowd favorite at this event. I spoke to him for a minute. He's happy to be back in his hometown for the Superbowl. He was gracious to fans and signed footballs and autographs.
