Channing Tatum Is 'People' Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive!

Is it getting hot in here?

People magazine has named its Sexiest Man Alive 2012, and it is: Channing Tatum! The Magic Mike star takes over the honor from Bradley Cooper.

"My first thought was, 'Y'all are messing with me,'" says Tatum, who has been married to actress Jenna Dewan-Tatum since 2009. "I told Jenna after we'd been in the bathtub washing our dogs because they'd gotten skunked."

He's an animal lover, people! And he wants babies. Lots of 'em.

"It’s really easy for us guys to say, 'I want like 15 kids,'" Channing told the mag about starting a family. "Jenna will be like, 'Well you better get another wife! The first number that pops into my head is three, but I just want one to be healthy and then we'll see where we go after that."

Channing joins the company of previous Sexiest Men Alive George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and Richard Gere, just to name a few. He's currently training to play an Olympian for Foxcatcher, which will be released next year.

"I like to be lean. If I get too bulky I can't move well and I like to move," Channing says. "When I'm not training, I get really round and soft."

So, he's a family man who likes to work out. Sigh.
