Charlie Sheen 'Two and a Half Men' Replacement: Chuck Lorre Suggests Rob Lowe?
March 8 2011, Published 7:39 a.m. ET
Now that Charlie Sheen has been officially fired from Two and a Half Men, the replacement talks are in full force. The show's creator/producer Chuck Lorre is ready to move forward without Charlie and already has an idea on who he wants to take his place — actor Rob Lowe.
Chuck's camp have reportedly been talking to Rob, TMZ reports, along with executives at Warner Bros., who have contacted Rob's agent at William Morris-Endeavor to talk about the actor joining the hit CBS sitcom.
Rob was killed off ABC's hit drama Brothers and Sisters last season, and since then, has been starring on the NBC comedy Parks and Recreation, which would cause a conflict if he chose to join Men. Rob also grew up with the Sheen family.
Nothing has been confirmed yet, but Chuck has been holding internal meetings about keeping the show going, according to TMZ, and really wants to "keep the show alive."
