After just six months together, Eric Johnson has popped the question to his blonde bombshell girlfriend Jessica Simpson, and the singer could not wait to showcase her new bling! The footballer gave his bride-to-be a Neil Lane ruby ring, flanked by two diamonds which Jess debuted at Dillard’s this weekend in Overland Park, Kansas!
And, the former 49er has good taste according to a jewerly expert, who told OK! that, “Because it’s a ruby and because of the rareness, it cost a little over $185,000.”
Jess, 30, started dating Eric, 31, back in May of this year.

Not be outdone by Jess's ex-husband Nick Lachey, Eric put a ring on it just one week after Nick proposed to long-time girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo. Nick's ring of choice for Vanessa — a large Asscher-cut diamond from designer Bader & Garrin.
