After years of being her biggest supporter, Chelsea Handler is still refusing to disclose what ended her friendship with Jennifer Aniston. The outspoken comedian — who once lived on her scathing jokes about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie — is happy to talk about practically anything, except her former pal.
On his podcast, Straight Shuter: Naughty But Nice, Rob Shuter tells all on Handler’s bizarre secrecy.
“Chelsea paints herself as someone that tells it as it is, which she mostly is, except on the subject of why she and Jennifer Aniston had such a nasty falling out,” sources told Shuter.
The comedian is promoting her sixth book, Life Will Be The Death of Me… And You Too!, and while fans expect to hear every graphic detail about her wild life, Aniston, 50, will not be mentioned.
“Even when Chelsea appeared on the Howard Stern Show — Stern is still a close friend of Jen — this topic didn’t come up. Handler is fine talking about how her problematic patterns of behavior led her to seek help from a therapist. She even sobbed about her brother’s death when she was just 9 years old. But whatever happened between Jen and Chelsea will go to the grave. Neither lady is saying anything,” the insiders told Shuter.
RdarOnline.com readers recall Handler, 44, hinted at her 2017 fallout with Aniston during her appearance on Stern’s show earlier this month.
“I’m a great friend, but if you piss me off, you’re out,” she said at the time. “I was so angry for a long time and didn’t know why.”
Despite their mysterious fallout, however, Handler did attend Aniston’s 50th birthday party — where Pitt, 55, was also present.
“I wouldn’t say they are friends again and hanging out and going on vacation together,” a source told Shuter. “But at least they are talking again.”
