Actress Cheryl Hines and her producer/manager hubby Paul Young have filed for divorce after nearly eight years.

Cheryl and Paul filed for divorce on July 20, Cheryl's rep confirmed in a statement on Monday (via E! News).
Their divorce appears to be amicable as they will be sharing custody of their 6-year-daughter, Catherine Rose.
"They will remain extremely close friends and will raise their daughter together," Cheryl's rep explained.

Cheryl and Paul tied the knot in 2002.
“My husband and I balance each other out,” Cheryl told OK! back in February. “I’m a bit more spontaneous and quick-on-the-draw. I like to make decisions quickly, and he’s more methodical and thinks things through more. He’s a little more right brain, and I’m more left brain, I think.”

But it sounds like their balance will continue despite their divorce.
