Deadline.com is reporting that MGM has offered Chloe Moretz the role of shy high school student Carrie White, previously played by Sissy Spacek, who was raised by a strictly religious mother, and now has to face her horrifying telepathic power! Piper Laurie played the role of the mother in the original.
Both Sissy and Piper were nominated for Academy Awards when the Brian DePalma film was released in 1976. Could Chloe end up with an Oscar nod as well?
