Mother knows best — except when it comes to Tweeting. Chris Brown's mom, Joyce Hawkins, sent out a Tweet about her son that made a lot of Michael Jackson fans mad.

On Tuesday, Joyce Tweeted, "Michael Jackson died so that Chris Brown could live!!!"
Needless to say, the comment did not go over well with MJ's fans and Joyce has since removed the Tweet.
And she also issued a statement to USA Today on Thursday apologizing and explaining her comment.
"I'm so sorry that the tweet I sent yesterday was misunderstood," Chris' mom said. "What I meant to say is that Chris has always been inspired by Michael Jackson's music and his career."
